Athleisure addicts, meet your latest fix.
As unabashed athleisure addicts ourselves, there’s nothing we love more than a new fixation – especially one that seamlessly combines style and sustainability for an effortless, wear-anywhere collection. Case in point? BELOFORTE, the brainchild of Nike by day, Balenciaga at night Creative Director Whitney Quaresma (a girl after our own heart) and athletic x artistic-minded Brand Director Kevin Dorey. Committed to crafting a collection exuding functionality, beauty and strength, the Cali Co-Founders chose the name BELOFORTE to portray just that – derived from the Portuguese words belo, meaning “beautiful” and forte, meaning “strong.”
What to expect? A debut collection marked by neutral hues and minimalist silhouettes for a streamlined, fashion-forward aesthetic. Think breezy tanks and lightweight, off-the-shoulder sweaters paired with cut-out leggings and smartly finished shorts and joggers, not to mention versatile sports bras doubling as chic crop tops. Proponents of looking good, feeling good and wearing good, all BELOFORTE pieces are fabricated from synthetics spun from recovered recyclables before being cut & sewn by artisan sewers in California.
Already off to a running start, we’re looking forward to seeing more from this new contemporary label – who we’re also happy to discover shares a cheeky sense of motivation.
