Naked dresses. So many naked dresses.
While searching for pre-collection inspiration, Creative Director Sarah Burton described the McQueen woman as “Almost sleepwalking, in a state where reality and dreams become blurred.” That she is in the final outcome of Burton’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection, a bewitching presentation of dreamy lingerie-inspired influences shown at Westminster’s Royal Horticultural Halls during London Fashion Week last weekend. From sweeping celestial-inspired gowns to floaty layered dresses, sheer tulle skirts to romantic bustier tops – not to mention whimsically oversized satin bed jackets, this is one dream we don’t want to wake up from.
