Not your average triple threat, surfer / model / designer Hanalei Reponty learned how to swim before she could walk in the Pacific waters of Tahiti – developing a deep bond and respect for the ocean and its inhabitants early on. Having since devoted her life to not only enjoying the world’s oceans but protecting them as well, the launch of Hanalei’s Abysse earlier this year further aids in this mission. The collection of function-meets-fashion wetsuits and bikinis are fabricated from eco-friendly Japanese Geoprene, rooted in a socially responsible footprint including a partnership with ocean conservation group Sirens for the Sea. Hanalei’s picks:

1.  Abysse Wynona Fringed Wetsuit ($500.00).This is the wetsuit of my dreams! Brand new and limited edition, the Wynona is cowboy inspired with major fringe detail on the sleeves and back—I’m obsessed.”

2. Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Multi-Purpose Dry Oil ($35.95) and Reve de Miel Lip Balm ($19.95). “I feel like I have very dry and sensitive skin — I’m allergic to dust and a lot of environmental things. I find that Nuxe is extra nourishing, especially after being out in the sun and salt water all day. Nuxe Lip Balm and Oil are my absolute favorites—the smell reminds me of Tahiti.”
